My (Internet Chosen) Candidate

My beautiful cousin Kristie just sent me a link to this online quiz, but unlike the others I've taken, this one won't generate my Prison Bitch Name or Which Desperate Housewife I Am or Which Dead Celebrity I Am...

For Dead Celebrity, I originally got Elvis Presley, but it's been awhile since I took that quiz and a few more stars have passed away.

If I took it today, I would probably get Charles Nelson Reilly.
And I would LOVE IT!!!

This quiz gives you a very basic idea of which Presidential candidate is most in line with your views and opinions.

And even though I'm a big Ron Paul fan (Yes, he's running as a Republican, but listen to what that man says - - it's logical and impressive. When did we EVER think either of those two things about anything that came out of Dubya's mouth?), look who lines up best with my current political stance...

Dennis Kucinich
Score: 55
Agree
Iraq
Immigration
Taxes
Stem-Cell Research
Health Care
Abortion
Social Security
Line-Item Veto
Energy
Marriage
Death Penalty
Disagree

-- Take the Quiz! --

Big surprise, huh?

If this country were more enlightened - - say, a thousand more YEARS enlightened - - Dennis Kucinich WOULD be our President.

As it is, he can't get even a piece of the media spotlight.

It's like all the actors I know here in town who are wildly talented but will never, ever receive the kind of attention we heap on faux-lebrities who can't act, but look great in a CW teen-focused dramedy.

We always seem to focus on the wrong thing.

That's the best picture of Kucinich I've ever seen! (Admittedly, it wouldn't take much.)

Both the news outlets and the man's own part have already thrown their most if not all of their support behind other candidates. Maybe he'd stand more of a chance if he were more telegenic? He wouldn't even need to be that good lookin'! I remember a news story about women having erotic dreams about Bill Clinton back in '92, and that fucker looks like W.C. Fields in a fright wig.

Oh well. Like I'm going to vote for a Republican at this point anyway--!

Sorry, that should have read "the man's own party." (He'd really be screwed if his own "part" had it in for him!)

Blockade Boy - God forbid if his "part" has him in for it too!!!

"W.C. Fields in a fright wig." Friggin' hilarious!!

Nothing says, "Let me put on my beret and blow you in the Oval Office" quite like the image of Mr. Fields with Don King's hair.

Hey Stephen, I'm a Rogers Park neighbor and enjoy reading your blog. Dennis Kucinich has been at the top of my list for years. Sure, he's got a plain jane look, but then again so did Jimmy Carter and a bunch of other guys who turned out to be president.

Michael - Hey there! Thanks for reading my blog. I'm always amazed that people are actually reading my bizarre combo of boys, musicals, politics and redneck cookery!

And I agree about Mr. Kucinich. All anyone has to do is listen to him speak and you're hooked. However, it's getting the media to give him that spotlight - - that's what we need.

And I think he looks just fine. God knows I've slept with men FAR less attractive than he is!!! :)

I took this quiz over at Polt's place and scored the highest on Edwards... I think it was only 35 so I guess it wasn't that much of a landslide ;)

Glad you enjoyed the quiz. I was really surprised that it had me dead even with Edwards, Clinton and Obama. I need to check them out closer cause I didn't realize they were all saying almost the same stuff.

I tied Clinton and Obama, both at 47.

HUGS...

Valyna, Kristie and Polt - Wow. I thought I would come out more with Clinton or Obama or Edwards. However, it's perfect that I'm with Kucinich. I love what that man stands for.
