Dark Knight '66 and Dark Knight '89

If you're like me, you've seen the latest trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT about 3,457 times - - it's almost as good as porn to me... almost - - but have you seen the audio to THE DARK KNIGHT trailer set to images from the 1966 Adam West BATMAN movie?

Or set to the 1989 Michael Keaton BATMAN movie?

As stated on Newsarama, "This is why internet video was created."

This and homemade porn. Definitely.

Well, i think the homemade porn came first and kinda outranks this in importance, but yeah, this works too.

The 1966 Batman movie just kicked the crap all out of anything subsequent. Yes, I know it was meant to be campy, but a.) it had Burt Ward, and b.) it didn't have Kim-Fucking-Basinger...

The new one looks very intriguing, however...and not a Basinger in sight!

I so can't wait for the new movie!

Yeah, but I'm not big on Maggie Gyllenhal. I don't know why, but she always reminds me of Mrs. Hannigan in Annie.

I know you are gonna kill me for this, but I sorta feel like the whole Batman thing has been rather overdone. Like Indiana Jones.

Its like- how many MORE times can we remake the same crap?

I don't think my last post worked. What I said was: you are going to hate me because I think the whole Batman thing has already been done to death. Like Indiana Jones.

How many MORE times is hollywood gonna remake this stuff?

polt - This definitely works!!

aaron - I loved the '66 Batman movie, too!! "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb." Classic.

whim - Neither can I!!! July get here SOON!!

dana - Maggie should play Mrs. Hannigan. You're SO right about this!!!

cb - That's just it. This new Batman series is so different from all the others that it isn't "the same crap." It treats the myth of The Batman as if there actually could be a Batman, and as superheroes go, the one that someone could actually become is The Batman. You just need a lot of money, a cave, and a funky costume with a utility belt full of gadgets and you're in! :)
