Thanks to roborange of the uber-fun and sexy blog Seduced by the New... for sending me a link to the pic below to, as he put it, "feed" my "Robin fetish."
This INCREDIBLE Robin illustration is by Nuno Plati and can be found on his blog, appropriately names Plati's Blog, under a post announcing that he is available for commissions.
Looks like I need to save up a little cash and commission him to create a Robin of my very own.
Yeah, yeah- - it'll be two-dimensional, but so was the 6 foot cardboard standee of Chris O'Donnell in his rubber Robin suit (complete with nipples on the breast plate and a codpiece) and lived in my apartment longer than any "real boy" ever did.
God, that's frightening to realize...
I need to be careful with this "Robin fetish," though. If I'm not, I might walk into Graham Cracker Comics and find Chris Hanson from TO CATCH A PREDATOR asking me why I'm buying so many copies of THE TEEN TITANS.
But it's hard to give up Robin cold turkey when Tina over at GGY-Meta occasionally posts a picture of The Boy Wonder like this one from the final frame of last month's TEEN TITANS...
Do you think there's a "12-Step Robin Recovery Program" for people who got hooked on Burt Ward at a very early age and now obsess over guys who wear a domino mask and a utility belt?
Failing that, where can I score some of those green, 60's Burt Ward Robin booties?

I'm really partial to Freddie Williams take on Tim Drake. Some fans don't like it, but I do. He's just so...'natural wiseass'. Of course, you can't go wrong with Garza's Robin either...
Hey, did you see the solicit for #55? Did I call it, or what? Now if we can only get Beechen in there by March, we can have Cass beating Tim senseless for bringing home Pepsi instead of Coke. LOL!
Tina - You, my dear, CALLED IT!!!! I love that!!
"Cass beating Tim senseless for bringing home Pepsi instead of Coke." Now, THAT'S HILARIOUS and oh, so true!!!!
I love you man! Your site rocks.
Comics and hot guys with commentary.
The first step is admitting you neeed help Stephen.
roborange - The feeling is mutual! Love your blog!!!
Whim - Well, we've know I need help for a long time, now haven't we?!?! :)
funny you should mention the Robin booties. I was at a local store called SteinMart this weekend and saw a pair of green suede boots on the clearance rack that looked JUST LIKE THESE! I'll have to swing by and see if they are still available. How big are you feet Stephen..AHEM, I mean what size shoe do you wear?
Rick - Now THAT is funny!! I'm about a 9. You know what they say about a 9, don't you? Not too small, not too big - - JUST RIGHT! :)
Watching Adam West and Burt Ward always made me feel uncomfortable. Yeah it was homoerotic, but in the "Lonely old guy meets pubescent lad" kind of way.
My favorite was Val Kilmer and Chris O'Donnell. Terrible movie. Hot hot men.
Wesley Darling - I never really envisioned Adam West with Burt Ward. I wanted Burt all to myself.
But you're right - - Val and Chris = One Extremely Hot Dynamic Duo!!
