Larry Craig's "Super Tuber"

Bill in Exile just posted about this and it's too good - - dare I say, "too juicy?" - - not to pass on.

This is recipe from Senator Larry Craig for one of his favorite snacks called....

...and I swear, I'm not making this up...

A Super Tuber

Seriously. Super Tuber.

Seriously.

This is Larry's foreword for the recipe...

"Super Tuber is a great snack that uses one of my favorite vegetables: The Idaho Potato. Of course, I suppose any type of potato could be used, but I cannot guarantee that a Super Tuber made with anything but a true Idaho potato would taste as good."

- Sincerely, Larry E. Craig, United States Senator

The recipe is as follows...

Ingredients:
1 hot dog, cook's choice
1 Idaho baking potato, 7 to 10 ounces
Mustard for dipping, any style
Other condiments as desired such as cheese sauce, sour cream, chili, chives, bacon pieces or black olives.

Wash and dry potato. Rub with shortening or butter. With an apple corer or small knife, core out the potato center (end to end). Push hot dog through the center. Bake until potato is cooked through.

Serving Suggestions: Allow potato to cool slightly. Eat as a finger food, dipping in your favorite hot dog condiments (mustard is my favorite).

So, Larry Craig loves to munch on wieners...

...wieners that are fucking potatoes...

...Idaho potatoes.

Truth is indeed sicker than fiction.

Apparently, Larry fell in love with Idaho potatoes and wieners at an early age.

Here's a picture of Larry munching on a fat one when he was very, very young...

You know, he looked good with his hair in piggy-tails, didn't he?

Piggy. Tails. That's funny.

Well , well , well , lets hope Larry doesn't have any Pumpkin recipes . Since Larry is already hollowed out someone should shove a wiener in him !!! I'm not saying who , but someone.

Peter - Oooooo... I like that!! Larry is SO hollowed out! But shoving a wiener in him is EXACTLY what he would like to have happen, so I say, we keep him weiner-less and make the bitch SUFFER!!! :)

Great comment!!!

On a side note, isn't it amazing that all so-called "recipes" anymore consist of crappy junk food stuffed into something, then dipped into condiments? WTF?

And does he really think anyone cares what kind of potatoes he uses? They all grow in fucking dirt! Or is he saying that he doesn't wash them beforehand? Maybe he should call them "I've-Had-Dirtier-Stuff-In-My-Mouth Cocktail Snacks."

Aaron , Are you saying he uses rough trade potatoes ?

Stephen R. said...

Aaron - I'm sure Larry loves eggs, too. Since they come out of... well, you get the picture.

Peter - Larry DOES use / enjoy "rough trade" potatoes. You clever, clever boy! I like you!!!

Well, at least he allows the "cook" to have his own "choice" in hot dogs. Thank goodness! For a moment, I was worried about the rigidity of this recipe...

"Rough trade potatoes!" Hehehe

Stephen R. said...

Aaron - Yeah, and we all know what kind of weiner Larry prefers, don't we? :)

Getting back to the "recipe", has anybody tried this? It sounds, um, like it would have an odd flavor, to say the least.

Stephen R. said...

Dana - "Odd flavor" is the understatement of the decade!!! :)

EW. EEEEEw. ew. But thanks for it. My Hydroxycut hadn't kicked in, but Larry and nasty food in the same posting has opened the gates once again.

Whim - I know!!! And for the record, I would love to stop posting funny things about Sen. Craig, but damn it - - they just keep popping up left and right!!!!

Master Aaron - Glad I could help - - hearing about Larry and his Super Tuber is better than a bran muffin, isn't it?!?! :)

Safe travel!
