Albus Follows Lance's Lead

It's no official. I am in LOVE with Tina over at GGY-Meta!!!

Not only did she send me the picture of Dumbledore showin' off his six pac on a Pride Parade float, but she just sent me a link to this People Magazine cover from the folks over at Best Week Ever!

The Larry Craig jokes got very old very quickly - - probably because he's a self-loathing, horrific little "wide stance" of a man - - but something tells me the gay Dumbledore jokes are going to have more of a shelf-life.

P.S. This is especially brilliant since one of the guests on today's episode of THE VIEW was Lance Bass!

Fictitious characters always have more staying power than real people. I wonder when the Vice President will come out against HIM, a la "Murphy Brown." Of course, that might piss off the current VP's daughter--but if she's dumb enough to still be a Republican, she deserves what she gets.

Aaron - Remember when our biggest problem with stupid Vice Presidents was the fact that they couldn't spell? I hope Cheney comes out against Dumbledore.

I don't want Cheney to "come out," though. I don't want him on our team.

At first, I was pissed that JK didn't just put it out there at the beginning...

but then i thought more on it...

here's a character in a children's book that ends up appealing to adults as well,....everyone loves the characters...and then he "comes out."

Symbolic? Maybe.

Am I past my initial "WHAT!" Oh, yes.

Shirley Heezgay - That's very true. And I do realize that. I just wish the "coming out" had been more direct. It's the radical in me. :)

I think JK did the right thing with this situation , does anyone remember when the right wing christian groups were against the series because it promoted witchcraft ? Well I think she did well in pulling this over on them. Like Stephens Mama always says "If we don't talk about it, it doesn't exist, now does it?"

There is a certain power in not telling everything right from the get go . But in todays society we want it all right NOW.

I suppose certain groups will now want HP pulled from School Lib. so Dumbledore doesn't fuck up there future little ass eaters, cocksuckers and flannel wearing carpet munchers . Where's Margaret Spellings when we need her .

Rick - Of course you can!! I didn't create it; I'm just promoting it!!!

Tinky Winky - You're right in that the beans didn't have to be spilled right away, but it would have been nice if somewhere in the 700-plus page books that it had been mentioned... slightly! :)

Whim - Love those BEST WEEK EVER guys!! Love 'em!!!
