"If Your Heart is in Your Dream..."

This is for my friend, Karen. I know that she's already seen it, but she's having a bit of a rough time in the world of Tennessee Williams ("Debris, debris, debris...") and this song and this performer speak to us.

I know that tons of people have already posted this, but Susan Boyle's performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" is, I think, exactly what we all need right now...

Someone seeing their dream coming true right before our eyes.

Thanks to Yellowdog Granny for sending this video to me yesterday!

I just saw this yesterday and I meant to send it to you. Isn't she amazing? It is what I wish all auditions would turn out to be!

Saw this yesterday. She's good, but frankly I think the homely guy that sang opera a few years ago was much more of a shock That he gave me chills as he sang. She's impressive though.

I heard about her and this amazing performance, but hadn't yet seen it. Thanks for posting it. I LOVE the look on Simon's face when he hears the voice!

i like to see homely, cat loving, never been kissed matrons rock out some pseudo opera to a crowd of 12 year olds!

AND

I like to see pompous know-it-all asses eat crow!

She has one heckuva voice. Just needs a wig, some make up and some work on the brows....otherwise she is GREAT

ohmigod, thank you for posting this. i hadn't seen the full version til now. this is beautiful, just wonderful.

i've cried twice this week -- once, at the end of grey gardens, and then while watching this. these were tears of joy, though. i can hardly wait for the movie of her life to be made, as it certainly will.

with everything else happening in the world and our lives, and with everything that can go wrong, or just not right, this is another that reminds us that hope never dies. keep dreaming, keep hope alive. and go you, susan boyle!
