Harvey Korman

Harvey Korman is sadly gone, but his comedy will be with us for a long, long time.
This is one of my favorites. If you want to know what it's like when my family gets together to play "a simple, little parlor game," just watch this. And thanks to Harvey for all the laughs.

"Sorry!"

"There's a little yellow fellow that's just dyin' to be landed on."

"You got splinters in the windmills of your mind."

Another of my favorite Korman dialogues was from "History of the World, Pt 1" when he was Count de Monet and Mel Brooks was King Louis of France:

Count de Monet (seeing an opportunity to plant a peasant as a decoy): You look like the piss boy!

King Louis (misunderstanding his meaning): And you look like a bucket of shit!

I love this comment from Mel Brooks about working with Harvey Korman: "It was very dangerous for me to work with him because if our eyes met we'd crash to floor in comic ecstasy."

One of my favorite Carol Burnett Show moments was when Korman was a patient and Tim Conway was the dentist. Conway had Korman laughing so hard he couldn't say his lines.

Oh man, I used to LOVE when Korman and Conway made each other laugh. And dont' even get me started on BLAZING SADDLES...

"You will be risking your lives, whilst I will be risking an almost-certain Academy Award nomination for the Best Supporting Actor."

Comic ecstasy indeed.

Incidentally, when PJ told me Harvey Korman died, the 23 and 24 year old said "who?" and I wanted to smack them both!

I had trouble watching this show, because they were just so absolutely cruel.

Like when Eunice got gonged on the Gong Show...

So Charlie Brown.

HC was a brilliant comedian, and will definitely be missed. Why doesn't TVLand show Carol Burnett show reruns?
