Batdance

With all the excitement surrounding The Dark Knight, I think it's time to look back on a previous installment of the Batman story when we also laughed out of sheer horror.

Prince's Batdance anyone?

And before you start to think that I'm making fun of this song too much, please note that I just downloaded it into my iTunes.

With certain music, most men and all car crashes, I'm always drawn to the most horrific.

I like how Skipper incorporated the theme of the old campy Batman series for the campy Batdance song.

(As I'm sure you know, Prince Rogers Nelson was known as "Skipper" growing up)

As a good friend of mine is fond of point out, Price wrote that song in like 15 minutes-- and then proceded to make tons of money off it.

I think its an abortion too, but props for the "wiping your ass with a CD and then minting money with it".

Thank you! This one took me back! Never saw the video (a good thing) but this got a ton of radio play and I remember our HS drill team did this amazing dance to this song. Our marching band did whole Batman themed show, forming the words, BANG, POW and finally the Batman symbol for the finale. It was a good times to be a stupid teenager. :)
