Dancing Through Life... In the Dark

WICKED is in the black.

No, I'm not just talking financially. Last night here in Chicago, WICKED was literally in the black.

This just in from Chicago Tribune theatre critic Chris Jones' blog...

"Wednesday night was not the best night to see Chicago's production of "Wicked." As they do eight times a week, Elphaba and Fiyero were warbling about their mutual affection in the second-act love ballad "As Long As You're Mine," when the Oriental Theatre was plunged into darkness.

"A power outage in the Loop was to blame. With no immediate sign of restoration, the rest of the show was canceled and everyone filed out of the theater. At least one patron complained that no information was available. A Broadway in Chicago spokesman said Thursday that the power is now back and future performances will be unaffected."

Dare I even type it? Were they "Defying Electricity?"

Yeah, it's stupid, but we all thought it. I said it first, though. Don't I get at least a little credit for that?

it'll be a bitch if they don't get to come back to finish the show! They missed when Elphaba rips off her top and shows us her green boobies... wait, that's the porn "Wicked...tramps of Oz"
To quote the infamous Emily Litella... "Never mind"

Funny line... no, for reals.

Man, that would totally piss me off if the power went off in the middle of that show.
