My New Imaginary Boyfriend

My boyfriend TiVO and I are going through a rough time.

I don't ask much from him. Just record the shows that I want to watch, make some suggestions for things I might like, don't make me sleep in the wet spot - - pretty low expectations.

But when I went home to Tennessee for Christmas, I guess he felt abandoned or something...

...maybe I should have gotten him more memory for as a present before I left, I don't know...

...but when I came back, the one television event that I needed for him to record while I was away... well, Mr. Indirect Aggression TiVo recorded the wrong channel...

...and ya'll, the show was Dolly Parton receiving her Kennedy Center Honor.

Ever since then, he's been recording the wrong channel more and more often. I've talked to him, I've communicated my feelings without placing blame, but it's not getting any better.

I think it's be beginning of the end.

But to quote ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD...

"An exit is just an entrance somewhere else."

Out walks TiVo. In flies Powerboy.

Here he is with Supergirl. That's how we met. She introduced us. Nice girl, that Kara Zor-el.

You see, I was on the bus yesterday reading a new comic book title that I decided to give a try - - issue #13 of SUPERGIRL.

And there Powerboy was... in all his ink-and-color hotness.

We don't know much about him so far - - other than he has arms like tree trunks, a really great stylist and a hairy chest that rivals Hawkman's...

Check out the Hawkman on the right...

...see that clipped, hairy chest...

That's what I'm TALKIN' ABOUT!!

But back to my potential new imaginary boyfriend...

Maybe Powerboy is another refuge from Krypton. Or maybe he's from Kandor. Or maybe he's Mon-El's high school swim team buddy (I can dream, can't I?), but all I'm saying is this...

If DC keeps featuring Powerboy in art like this upcoming cover of SUPERGIRL #15...

...you can bet your sweet ass I'll be buying SUPERGIRL for a long, LONG time!

P.S. For those of you who don't know your Krypton from your Kandor or your Mon-El from your Mxyzptlk, I have included the links to Wikipedia info on some of the less well known people, places and things in the DC Universe. For those of you who don't know and don't care to know, don't judge me. I live alone.
