Satire or Sacrilege?

Ok ya'll, this is a mystery...

...wrapped in a riddle...

...encased in an enigma...

...and hidden somewhere in Tom Cruise's closet...

...right beside the collage he made of current Oscar Nominee Marky Mark during those "Good Vibrations," walkin' around with his jeans around his ankles showin' off his Calvin Klein tighty-whitey's years...

Damn... I miss those years...

Anyway, back to the mystery.

My good friend Michael Pacas sent this video to me a couple days ago and since then, it has been removed from YouTube for Terms of Use Violation. Fortunately (or perhaps UNfortunately), I found it on break.com.

Check this out and while you're watching it, try to help me determine if this is legitimate (and therefore INSANE) or if this is a massive joke being played via viral video...

See what I mean? It's just this side of SNL's DICK IN A BOX, isn't it?

This video, and the sites that accompany it, have just been created in the last month or so.

I believe - - or WANT to believe - - that this is just an elaborate joke, but isn't it disturbing that in 2007, this man, this ministry and this message might actually EXIST?

The debate itself says so much about homophobia in our country that it's astounding.

What a lovely song to wake up to. Kinda catchy. You know, even while he's singing God Hates Fags, in another line he sings that he prays for God to "stop these urges." Hmmm. Talking from both sides of his mouth I think.

I also did the link to their Web site which listed gay bands to watch out for. Elton John is listed twice--once with just his name, and again with his name and in parenthesis, (really gay). But Jay-Z, John Mayer and Metallica also made the list. Interesting stuff.

1. Mark Wahlberg SSSSOOOOOO wants to be my daddy!

2. This guy is an "ex gay", so since he has taken a hot pounding cock up the ass, does God still hate him? Or since he has "repented" is he cured AND forgiven? I believe to be a joke and a damn funny one at that.

3. This comment is about "Doubt." I too saw doubt, but in Korean with a script in English. Though the line was said and I read it on the page, I felt none of what you felt from the play. I was actually surprised by how unlopsided (i think i just invented a word) it was. Now, i know your beefy is with the people and not neccessarily the play but.... Now, i live in a society where homosexuality "doesn;t exsist" and they still weren't homophobic. This could be why I have lived here so long, they just don't care and neither do i.
I have never really been the type of person that cares much about what other people have to say or think about me. and i don't know how to say this with out sounding like an ass, so..... i think your too sensitive. now i wasn't there, i didn't feel the crowd and i do know that feeling but... anyway, it is like that whole ordeal on grey's anatomy, i think it is mountains out of mole hills. i have racist tendencies - we all do - I FUCKING HATE WHITE PEOPLE! they own everything! they have good hair and nice skin, I FUCKING HATE THEM! but i keep it on the D.L. i don't really know what i am trying to say but i think, and i felt this way when i worked for disney, i was living in a basic gay ghetto. my friends were gay, i worked with mostly gay people, i went to gay places and i thought gay! so i was super hyper sensitive when i was around striaght people and i always thought they were judging me or looking at me or talking about or against me or or or.... and then when i got out of that ghetto i realized those people never even noticed me. They could have cared less. However, because i was so overwhelmed with my own gay fabulousness i thought they were. they may have about as much to do with your situation as a the price of eggs in china but it was my two cents worth - take or ignore me like those people at the piggly wiggly.

Angel - Sorry that THIS was the song that welcomed in your morning! I should have put up warning buoys all around it. That song isn't the way to start the day!

It's so strange, isn't it? If this is satire, I'm reminded of what Ellen Degeneres says when someone says something hurtful to her and then follows it up with, "I was just KIDDING!"

Ellen says, "Well, if you were kidding, you didn't do it WELL!!!"

Lance - I agree that I'm probably a tad too sensitive... I believe the phrase is "drama queen" but I'm not going there...

But it wasn't about what people felt about ME, it was what they IMMEDIATELY assumed about the character in the play that disturbed me. It just felt like judgement out of heresy and rumor - - not fact.

Yet, the fact that a play stirred up such strong emotions in me makes me excited about the theatre again.

Last night was just a bad night for me to see that play.
