was really wonderul. The play was great and I got to hang out with Amy Metheny of the famous Windy City QueerCast and Jerry Nunn of the Nightspots porn review fame. Here's Jerry with his two fabulous friends who I am now in love with.
And tonight, Eric, Philip, Dan and God only knows who else and I are going to see Lisa Lampanelli at the Vic Theatre at 7:30 p.m. You all probably know her from the Comedy Central Roasts of Pamela Anderson and William Shatner. She's the woman who always ends the Roast because she is, in my opinion, the funniest comedian working today. Lisa is an insult comic like no other and takes no prisoners.Here are a few minutes from her last comedy special entitled TAKE IT LIKE A MAN. This is why I love her....
Back in September, I flew to Nashville and met my mother for the first day of our annual vacation to Hilton Head, SC. We saw Lisa Lampanelli that night at Zanie's in Nashville and had a blast. After the show, mom and I waited in line to buy Lisa's comedy cd from TAKE IT LIKE A MAN and I asked Lisa if I could have a picture made with her. She said yes and my mother had never used my digital camera, so she put the camera down before the picture was actually taken and the flash hit Lisa and I right at stomach level.
Lisa said, "Ma, you just took a picture of my cunt!"
Then Lisa said, "Ma, how do you feel about having a big fag for a son?"
My mother said, "I love it very much!"
You gotta love my mama!

Peter - My mother gave me so many gifts... and using dirty words while I sing her praises is definitely one of her greatest gifts to me!!
