"To the Bat-Poles!"

Okay... What exactly are Bruce and Dick up to in this panel?

Are those sun lamps?

Can billionaire Bruce Wayne not afford drapes?

And most importantly, unless you're a big time pole-smoking pickle kisser, why are you and your youthful ward lounging around Wayne Manor in little white towels like it's a friggin' bathhouse?

Where is Alfred while all this is going on?

Probably fetching the evening's cocktails. Wearing just a towel as well.

Nah. They probably hire some hunky muscle boy for that. I'm thinking Conner Kent.

Not doubt. Before I even read your comments, I thought "Wait, I've never seen this room at Steamworks?" I'd say that there were hidden Batpoles behind lockers leading down to another sexy Batcave except for the window and signam. So it must be the secret fourth floor or something. (I'm not enjoying thinking about the implications of this at all.)

Well, why not?

I think this could be the basis of a new play...bee-hind the scenes of Bat Man and his Boy Wonder Pole, starring Stephen Rader.

So the Goddamn Batman likes to take a "spa day" every once in a while. He's earned it!

Also, those "towels" look a lot like aluminum foil to me. Add some sun lamps and voila! Instant "bun warmer"! (Which is also Dick's pet name for Bruce.)

Oooh, Conner Kent......

Honestly, when I first read it, I thought it said, "Probably feLtching the evening's cocktails"

Which gave a whole NEW meaning to everything...

HUGS...

Suprisingly, I have nothing to say. All the good comments have already been made. I'll just stick with my earlier comments about B&R (though I will note that those tables do look big enough for two).

I like Palm Springs Savant's suggestion for a new play. Stephen, this is obviously a part made for you.

There are no drapes because they have to be able to see the bat-signal. Although frankly, text messages seem more appropriate. If Dick Tracy can have a two way watch/radio, I don't see why B&R can't do pagers or text messages.

Can you imagine the heavy obligations those guys are under? There they are, in their fourth floor spa lounge, about to get some action, and the bat-signal flashes. Curses! Foiled again!
