Oh, how I wish the item in the video below actually existed. I was just talking with my mom about how fun/exasperating it was to watch Star Trek: The Next Generation with her because of issues very similar to this.
My favorite was the day she saw Lt. Cmdr. Data and asked me...
"What the Hell is wrong with his face?"
So, I told her that Data was an android, which led to her second question...
"What's an android?"
I said that an android was basically a robot, so she said...
"Then, why the Hell didn't you
just say he was a robot?!?"
Good times...
