Looks like I won't be going home for Thanksgiving as I had hoped. With Season of Concern's World AIDS Day benefit only a few days after Thanksgiving, I can't really leave town. I thought I might be able to fly in and out of Knoxville in a couple of days, but the flights are just too expensive.
I'll just have to watch Pearl and Vera to get my fix of life back home.
P.S. If you don't know Greater Tuna, do yourself a favor and watch this clip. You'll be hooked on all things Tuna.

that is hilarious, love it!!! love the whispered line "something mexican!"
Thanks for the Tuna. Now I am homesick. I need to call Nana.
Sorry you can't make it to Knoxville for Thanksgiving. I am not going back to NC until Christmas. Good luck with the concert. Can we donate?
Loving Greater Tuna! Much obliged to you! Hoping your Saturday is going well. Cold here. 20F on the back porch this a.m. 5:00.
Thank you. I'll do my best to be worthy of your (as follower of blog) attention.
As to your blog, I wish you were less bashful re showing cocks & bushes.
My favorite part was when the judge died and Pearl was standing over him and said, "I always said I'd sing over your grave...Lord bless me, I feel a song coming on right now!" And she actually sang over his corpse.
Oh, and I'm sorry you can't be with your family at Thanksgiving! But I know they'll be thinking of you and looking forward to seeing you at Christmas.
I have full copies of both stages versions of Greater Tuna and Tuna Christmas -- remind me to make you copies and then you can watch them to your hearts delight. Vera Carp is one of the characters I loved playing the most (and yet my parents were still surprised when I came out!)
I've heard wonderful things about Greater Tuna, but never seen it. My mom, IIRC, saw it on stage when the show was in Orlando.
I'm sorry you don't get to go home for Thanksgiving. How 'bout Christmas? Will you be able to make it then?
I've been told I should do this show, but have never seen it. I'm familiar with the premise, and have seen "Irma Vep" which is similar in design.
This is clearly a studio-produced show, not just a recording of a live stage show. Where is this from?
Happy Thanksgiving anyway. Many blessings to you and yours!
Hope you feel better soon, Sweetheart. So, will I be seeing you on Friday? Corn Pie? ;)
There's a new Tuna that blew through San Francisco so fast I didn't even get a chance to see it. I'm still pouting.

Oh, I'LL be here, sweet boy, in that weird-twisty-fate-is-so-bizarre-way. I'll report back. I promise that it will be as if you've been here. In a jockstrap and some Quelle Noir.
I'm sure you won't be the only gay boy in Chicago who's not going home for Thanksgiving. So have an orphan's Thanksgiving!!!
Mark :-)
That was pretty funny. SNATCH. God knows what it stands for.
