Yesterday, when I saw this picture of these two couples meeting...
...I thought it looked as if these two couples were meeting...
Seriously, George and Laura Bush standing with Barack and Michelle Obama looks to me like the Flintstones standing with the Jetsons.
The archaic, pre-enlightened, barefooted and dim-witted past meets the well read, globally aware, technologically savvy, self-actualized future.
Except Michelle would never leave Barack flying around and around on an out of control treadmill. Laura would probably do it to George. And laugh at him as he flailed. Which is why I sort of like Laura.
I don't like her a lot, though. It's not like I'm sad to see her go or anything.
P.S. For the record, don't do a Google image search for either the Flintstones or the Jetsons when your SafeSearch is off. Trust me, just don't.
I've seen a lot of things in my day but George Jetson's junk is something I never wanted to see. Ever.

I will trust you on this one.
oh god... save me... i've gotta do it now!
While I'm SO very glad to have anything that says "bush" on it far and away from the white house, I have to give a little props out to Laura Bush. She spoke at one of my conferences back in 2002 in Boston. She was one of the nicest people I've met and when I, in a very rare case of having cojones, asked her what was wrong with gay marriage, she answered in a way that was safe for her husband, but I could tell by her tone and her look... she didn't always agree with her hubby. I think Laura with out Dubya would have been a good thing.
OK, on to google.
