A Warm Hand On Your Opening.
In 1974 (!) I was nominated for the Irene Ryan Award for Best Actor at the American College Theatre Festival for my work in AH, WILDERNESS!. I was proud & excited until my castmates & friends started announcing that I was nominated for the Irene Ryan Look-alike Award. I didn't win either, although I did come to look somewhat like her.
