Naked on the CTA

Tonight is the start of The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival and I can't friggin' wait for it to be over.

Not that I have anything against the festival or any of the improvers performing in the festival. It's not that.

The problem is those damn ads for the festival all over the CTA. If you live here, you've seen them. The ones with this guy - - Brian Posen, the guy who started the festival - - naked with just the festival's banner covering up his junk.

Now trust me when I say that I love me a bear - - big and hairy with a beard? Bring it on, Daddy!! - - but when I'm just trying to get from point A to point B, the last thing I want to see is Brian Posen naked.

P.S. I know that I'm not alone in feeling this way. On the train home yesterday, I saw one of the ads and someone had ripped Posen out of the ad. All that was left were the sides of the ad, which seemed to say, "Put it ON, Posen. Put it ON!"

Hmmm, I'm not sure I'd ever get tired of seeing or hearing a naked bear, regardless of what he was peddling. I'm just sayin'.

I'm sadly missing these... or maybe not sadly.. I haven't been on CTA much with the holidays, but believe me I'll be looking tomorrow. Why, just out of morbid curiosity. As for looking at a naked bear, its like looking at naked men. not a bad thing on the whole, but sometimes you gotta pick and choose.

Why is he naked, anyway?

mark - True, but Posen naked is alltogether different. Right, Alex? :)

Chris - Be careful not to look at the ad if you're not wearing the special safety glasses.

aaron - Tell us, Mark.

whim - I knew you would agree with me.

dana - That is the question of the century!!

I luvs me a big ol' hairy bear too, but from the brief glimpse you've provided it seems there may be an exception to that rule...

dirk - This is definitely an exception to that rule. You're SO right. :)
